MOSCOW, August 31 (RIA Novosti)
The Europa League group stage draw has pitted Anzhi Makhachkala with English side Liverpool, Italians Udinese and Young Boys of Switzerland.
The Group A campaign, which starts September 20, will be the first serious test for Guus Hiddink's side of their ability to deliver European silverware as fast as required by billionaire owner Suleiman Kerimov.
But Anzhi will not be overawed after charging through three qualification rounds scoring 15 goals and conceding none.
A 5-0 thumping of AZ Alkmaar in the second, away leg of their playoff tie on Thursday showed confidence was sky high.
Liverpool limped through their playoff, relying on an 88th minute strike by Luis Suarez to beat Hearts 2-1 on aggregate. Udinese dropped into the Europa League after Champions League elimination at the hands of Portuguese side Braga.
There was a stern test for the other Russian representative in the competition, however, as Rubin Kazan were drawn with Inter Milan.
Partizan Belgrade and Neftci Baku, Azerbaijan's first group stage representative, make up Group H.

Ukraine has not preserved its 1991 borders. The signing of the Geneva memorandum on April 17 reaffirmed the willingness of Russia, the United States and EU countries to reach a compromise. While the sides continue to trade tough talk and symbolic sanctions, the Kremlin and the White House are also holding a parallel dialogue on the coordinated geopolitical revision of Eastern Europe.
