Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady will be available for Sunday's league derby against Lokomotiv Moscow after the Russian FA cut short a three-match ban on Wednesday.
The Irishman had already served two games of a suspension that was enforced for a red-card tackle on Roman Shirokov in a 5-0 defeat to Zenit St. Petersburg earlier this month.
The Russian FA announced the decision to cut the bans of McGeady and Alania Vladikavkaz defender Aslan Dudiev on its website but gave no explanation.
Spartak are third in the Russian Premier League with six matches played, trailing champions Zenit and surprise package Terek Grozny.
Later Thursday, Spartak try to hold on to a 2-1 lead in the second leg of their Champions League playoff at Turkish side Fenerbahce.
