Valencia have signed Argentine international midfielder Fernando Gago from Real Madrid and he wants to break Real and Barcelona's Spanish domination, Valencia and the player said Friday.
Gago made 92 appearances for Real in five years with the Spanish giants and spent last season on loan at AS Roma, where he was a regular starter.
“I’ll try to help my team, try to play as much time as possible and try to win,” Gago said in a video posted on the Valencia website.
“My objective is clear - to win titles, I like to win and I’ve won several titles throughout my career, so I don’t want to stuck in the dead end where I don’t win anything.”
Gago, 26, has 38 caps for Argentina and usually plays as a defensive midfielder.
