WBC heavyweight title contender Manuel Charr is casting Vitali Klitschko as the bad-boy Russian fighter from the movie "Rocky IV," and has reportedly warned a similar demise awaits the Ukrainian in their September 8 clash in Moscow.

The German fighter is to attend Saturday's bout between Vitali's brother Wladimir and mandatory challenger Tony Thompson in Bern, Switzerland, and will use the occasion to initiate the pre-fight mind games.

"In Bern I will look into the eyes of Vitali for the first time," Charr said Saturday to German daily tabloid Express. "And I have for him a nice gift."

"I'll send him a t-shirt that says: 'Hey Vitali, remember Rocky Balboa 1985,'" Charr said.

He was referencing the cinema classic that saw Sylvester Stallone's character emerge from retirement to beat Russian amateur Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Ludgren, in revenge for killing his trainer Apollo Creed.

"The fight in Moscow is like the Rocky film: Ivan Klitschko against Rocky Charr - part 2," Charr said.

The 27-year old Charr has won all of his 21 fights, scoring 11 knockouts.

The Klitschko brothers have held all major heavyweight belts since 2011, when Wladimir, nicknamed Dr. Steelhammer, took the IBF title from David Haye by unanimous decision.
