Denver Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov has joined up with the Russian national basketball team ahead of its campaign to qualify for the Olympics, the country's federation said Friday.
Mozgov, 25, is the only Russian left in the NBA after Andrei Kirilenko remained with CSKA Moscow after the lockout ended in December.
Coach David Blatt has assembled the Russia team in Moscow for three days' practice before the squad flies to Slovenia for a week-long training camp starting Monday.
At the Olympic basketball qualifying tournament in Venezuela in July, Russia will be one of 12 teams fighting for a place in London, and will play South Korea and the Dominican Republic in its opening group-stage matches.
