Dynamo Moscow captain Andriy Voronin is seeking a transfer from the club after a rollercoaster season marred by a feud with coach Sergei Silkin, a club official said Thursday.

Voronin was one of the Russian Premier League's top players in the first half of the season, lifting Dynamo to second in the table before a downturn in form and a public quarrel with Silkin saw him dropped to the reserves.

Now the 32-year-old ex-Liverpool forward wants out, the head of Dynamo's supervisory council Sergei Stepashin said.

"This is his position - he wants to leave," Stepashin said. "No one is going to stop him by force."

Voronin, who has been linked with a return to his homeland with Shakhtar Donetsk, is preparing to represent Ukraine at Euro 2012.

"We wish Andriy luck at the Euro with the Ukrainian national team and thank him for the past season," said Stepashin, who is also the head of Russia's Audit Chamber.

Voronin moved to Dynamo in 2010 after struggling for playing time at Liverpool, and became the Moscow team's captain. He scored 11 goals in 37 games this season.

Meanwhile, veteran midfielder Igor Semshov is staying at the club, Stepashin said. Semshov also saw his form tail off in the second half of the season, and criticized Silkin's tactics publicly before they reconciled.

Dynamo also announced on Thursday that 51-year-old coach Silkin would remain at the club, after heated speculation that a season without silverware would spell his demise.
