Police have searched the room of Zenit St. Petersburg defender Domenico Criscito at Italy's Euro 2012 training base near Florence as part of the country's match-fixing investigation, the Ansa agency reported Monday.
The 25-year-old left-back, a regular international with 19 caps, is suspected of conspiracy to commit fraud and cheating in sports, the agency said.
The search of his room is part of a police blitz that included the arrest of 10 current and former players including Lazio captain Stefano Mauri and ex-Genoa midfielder Omar Milanetto, the agency said, citing police reports.
The so-called Calcioscommesse sports betting scandal broke in Cremona a year ago. Juventus coach Antonio Conte is among those implicated.
