Spartak Moscow midfielder Demy de Zeeuw appeared to dismiss reports linking him with a move away from the club Thursday.
Dutch newspaper Voetbal International had claimed de Zeeuw, part of the Netherlands squad that reached the 2010 World Cup final, was close to signing for German club Hamburg.
“I don’t know anything about a transfer,” de Zeeuw wrote on Twitter.
De Zeeuw joined Spartak in July and has since scored twice in 13 league appearances, but has only played all 90 minutes of a game once, in a 3-0 win over Anzhi in August.
He has 27 caps for the Netherlands and played in his country’s World Cup semifinal win over Uruguay in 2010, when he was replaced at half-time after Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres accidentally kicked him in the face.
