Russia coach Dick Advocaat will name his final 23-man squad for Euro 2012 on Friday, he said Thursday.

With two of Advocaat’s 26-man preliminary squad forced to withdraw with injury, one player will learn he has been dropped following Friday’s friendly with Uruguay in Moscow.

The deadline for countries to name their Euro 2012 squads is Tuesday, but Advocaat said he wanted to cut short the uncertainty.

"I think it's just good to make everybody know who goes or who not goes, so I think we will do it tomorrow night after the game,” he said.

Lokomotiv Moscow defender Roman Shishkin was ruled out Thursday after he was hospitalized with a severe illness of the digestive tract. His absence could leave Russia short of cover at right-back if first-choice player Alexander Anyukov picks up an injury.

CSKA Moscow center-back Vasily Berezutsky pulled out of the squad Sunday with a hip injury.

Russia will play Italy and France in two further warm-up games, both in Switzerland, before traveling to Poland for their Euro 2012 group stage matches.

Russia start their campaign June 8 against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw before traveling to Warsaw to face co-host Poland on June 12 and Greece four days later.
