KHL hockey team Salavat Yulaev Ufa has signed former Czech Republic captain Tomas Rolínek from Metallurg Magnitogorsk, as well as goaltender Vadim Tarasov from Severstal Cherepovetsk on two-year agreements, the club said Thursday.

Rolinek, 32, joined Metallurg from Czech Extraliga team HC Pardubice in 2008, going on to score 72 goals and 54 assists in 199 appearances.

He captained the Czech team to 2010 world championship gold, and played in the team that finished runner-up in 2006 and third last year.

Tarasov, meanwhile, spent three years with Salavat Yulaev between 2006 and 2009, winning the last Superliga title with the team in 2008 before it switched to the current KHL format.

He has been voted the league's top goaltender three times.

Salavat Yulaev won the Gagarin Cup in 2011 but crashed out in the first round of this season's playoffs to Ak Bars Kazan.
