Dynamo Moscow took a 2-0 lead in its KHL conference final series against SKA St. Petersburg on Friday with a closely fought 2-1 win in the northern capital.

The best-of-seven series moves to Moscow for the third game on Sunday after Dynamo's victory, which was less dramatic than the remarkable 5-4 comeback win in overtime Wednesday.

For SKA, it was a third-straight home ice defeat, while Dynamo remains unbeaten in regulation in the playoffs.

After a goalless first period Czech center Jakub Klepis scored the opener for the visitors 32 minutes in. Maxim Rybin got an equalizer half way through the third period, only for another Czech, wing Marek Kvapil, to grab the winner three minutes later.

In the Eastern Conference final Saturday, regular-season champion Traktor Chelyabinsk hosts Avangard Omsk. Traktor lead the series 1-0 after a 3-1 win on Thursday.
