- Russia wins 1st gold at Youth Olympics in Innsbruck
- First Winter Youth Olympic Games open in Innsbruck
Russian pairs Lina Fedorova/Maxim Miroshkin and Anastasia Dolidze/Vadim Ivanov took silver and bronze respectively on Monday in figure skating at the 2012 Youth Winter Olympic Games in Austria.
The gold in pairs free skating went to Chinese pair Xiaoyu Yu/Yang Jin with judges awarding them 153.82 points on the total.
“This was our most important performance in our international career so far and the silver will strengthen our confidence,” Maxim Miroshkin said after the competition.
