Former WBA world heavyweight champion from Russia, Nikolai Valuev, may resume his boxing career this June, his coach Alexander Zimin told RIA Novosti.
Valuev had his shoulder and right wrist operated on late last year. The 37-year-old Russian boxer later said he did not intend to wrap up his boxing career and will resume training after surgery.
"If the rehabilitation process goes ahead according to our plan, Nikolai will be ready for a serious bout in June," Zimin said.
The 'Russian Giant' (50-2, 34 KOs) lost his WBA title last November to Britain's Haye (25-1, 23 KOs).
