Russia's Adelina Sotnikova won the gold medal in the individual event at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Beijing on Friday.

With 169.81 points, Sochnikova beat her compatriot Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva (160.87), who took the silver medal.

The bronze went to China's Lee Jijun with 149.82.
