Serbian international Milos Krasic’s agent has denied media reports that his client has signed a preliminary deal to move to Liverpool this summer.

Serbian international Milos Krasic’s agent has denied media reports that his client has signed a preliminary deal to move to Liverpool this summer.

The Sportski Zurnal paper said on Wednesday that CSKA Moscow star Krasic, 25, had signed a preliminary contract to join the Merseysiders after the World Cup finals in a deal worth 12 million pounds.

“I was in Liverpool to sort out a transfer,” Dejan Joksimovic told Russia’s Sovetski Sport paper. “But not for Krasic, for Milan Jovanovic, the Standard Liege forward who has signed a three-year contract with the English side and will start playing there this summer.”

“Journalists decided that if Jovanovic was moving to Rafael Benitez’s team, then why not Krasic too? It’s an excellent theme for an article, and sure to be well-read!”

“Krasic is not signing for Liverpool, and hasn’t even held talks with them. Everything is just rumor so far,” he went on.

“Some kind of information might become available after CSKA’s Champions League match with Sevilla,” the agent added.

Attacking midfielder Krasic, who has scored 4 goals in this season’s Champions League, has made no secret of his desire to test himself in Europe and has been linked with a number of sides, including AC Milan, Arsenal and Manchester City.

He has been with CSKA since 2004, winning the Russian title in 2005 and 2006.
