Russian Paralympic Committee Says IPC Suspension Politicized
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Zhukov noted that Russia is constantly tightening punishment for athletes using doping drugs and those involved in their distribution among athletes. According to him, both ROC and Moscow are ready to cooperate with both the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the IOC committees in order to investigate allegations of doping among Russian athletes.

"You can all rest assured that there will be positive changes in Russia, and that Russian sports will become cleaner. But this can happen only as a result of hard work on the implementation of this goal," Zhukov said, as quoted in a statement on the ROC website.

His statement came as the IOC Executive Board announced the decision to ban all Russian athletes with doping record from participating at 2016 Rio Olympic Games, while leaving it to the respective international federations to decide whether individual Russian athletes will be participating in the Games.
