MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) — A major international festival of modern Russian cuisine, "Russian Taste" (Russkiy Vkus), featuring world-class Michelin star-winning chefs will be held in Moscow on October 11-12, RBC reports.

The festival will take place in "Crocus Expo". There, a modern perspective on Russian cuisine will be explored. The main part of the program is a scientific conference on local food and the development of local agriculture, featuring author, TV presenter and famous Irish chef Rachel Allen along with Claus Meyer, who co-founded the restaurant Noma, which has been voted best restaurant in the world (in 2010-2012, 2014). The schedule also includes workshops on cooking dishes from products produced by Moscow-area farmers, a show for kids, charity events, and, of course, a food market.

The festival’s panel of experts consists of Alexei Zimin (founder of the Ragout café and the new version of the CDL restaurant), Olga and Pavel Syutkin (historians and cookery specialists, authors of two Russian bestsellers: the "True history of Russian cuisine" and the "True story of Soviet cuisine"), as well as independent food critic Katya Kalinina. The concept of the festival is based on the ideology of the international eco-gastronomic movement Slow Food International, which has promoted farming and local products across the world for more than 25 years.
