Russian student Aleksandr Sagiev, 20, from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, was found dead in Grand Teton National Park on Friday, spokeswoman Jackie Skaggs told RIA Novosti on Saturday.

WASHINGTON, August 23 (RIA Novosti) - Russian student Aleksandr Sagiev, 20, from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia was found dead in Grand Teton National Park on Friday, spokeswoman Jackie Skaggs told RIA Novosti on Saturday.

Skaggs said the body was found after three days of searching in the mountains at an altitude of about 9,400 feet.

Sagiev was a seasonal employee of Dornan’s in Moose, Wyoming, who went missing on August 18. His co-workers have not seen him since August 17. According to updated information on Thursday afternoon, Sagiev “may have started a hike from Taggart Lake Trailhead around 9:00 a.m. Monday [16:00 GMT],” the press service of Grand Teton National Park reported.

Sagiev’s body was found in Glacier Gulch, west of Delta Lake, at 1:25 p.m. [20:25 GMT] on Friday. The Russian student was declared dead at the scene. Circumstances of the death are being investigated.
