Moscow authorities have approved an opposition protest route for June 12 from Pushkin Square in the center of the city to Sakharov Avenue where the demonstration will be held, a chief security official, Andrei Mayorov, said on Friday.
According to Mayorov, no more than 50,000 protesters are allowed to participate in the "March of Millions". They are to gather at midday in preparation for the 1:00 p.m. protest march, and the demonstration will start at 3:00 p.m. The entire event is to finish at 6:00 p.m.
Originally, the protest organizers wanted to hold the meeting close to the Kremlin but the authorities offered other, more remote options.
