MOSCOW, July 26 (RIA Novosti) - The launch of the U.S. Galaxy 14 satellite by the Soyuz FG/Fregat rocket (previously scheduled for August 6) has been postponed due to technical reasons, Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Spokesman Vyacheslav Davidenko said.
"The date and time of the launch are being clarified and will be announced," he said.
PanAmSat's (an American global satellite broadcasting company) Galaxy 14 satellite was to be launched into space by a Russian Soyuz FG/Fregat upper-stage rocket from Russia's Baikonur Space Center (leased by Russia from Kazakhstan) on August 6 at 3:29 a.m. Moscow time (0:29 a.m. GMT).
Davidenko said technicians began Monday to assemble Galaxy 14 and the Fregat upper-stage rocket.
