“Under the conditions of sanctions and information war the role of interactions within the journalistic community greatly increases. It is especially important for us to directly communicate with journalists from the CIS countries, Georgia and other neighboring states, who represent independent media. Regardless of how much certain powers want to turn the media into an instrument of discord, we hope for a constructive and professional dialogue,” Oleg Ananiev, head of the Rossiya Segodnya Directorate of the CIS Countries said Tuesday.

The agenda of the Koktebel media conference includes discussions on the role of the media in forming public opinion. The issue of security will also be raised, as well as questions regarding new information technologies.
