MOSCOW, July 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Transport Ministry has formed an expert team, headed by the deputy head of Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), to participate in the investigation of the Malaysian Boeing 777 crash in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, the press service of the ministry reported on Sunday.

"A group of experts has been formed. They will participate in the investigation of the crash of a Malaysian Boeing 777, which happened on the territory of Ukraine on July 17, 2014. It has been headed by Oleg Storchevoy, the deputy head of Rosaviatsiya," the statement said.

Earlier, the head of Rosaviatsiya Alexander Neradko said the department was ready to provide all available information to the commission, which is investigating the flight MH 17 crash, as well as to send its experts to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy.

Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed near Donetsk on July 17. All 296 people on board died.

Ukrainian authorities claim the plane was shot down by independence supporters, whereas the latter say they do not have necessary equipment to hit a target flying this high.

The West suggests the conditions for the downing of the plane were created by Russia as it allegedly supplied independence supporters in Ukraine’s east with weapons.

Moscow has repeatedly warned against making hasty conclusions and politicized statements related to the crash and called for an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
