MOSCOW, July 10 (RIA Novosti) – Russia is to suggest BRICS countries create a university chain based on the leading universities of the five member states, at which students would study economics and engineering, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said Wednesday.
“There will be a suggestion to create a university chain, a conglomerate of the five countries’ leading education centers, primarily for economics and engineering majors,” Ushakov said at a briefing before Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to Brazil, where he is to attend the BRICS summit.
The leaders of the five largest emerging world economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa are to meet in the cities of Fortaleza and Brasilia on July 15-16 to discuss global issues of cooperation in trade, investment, credit and finances.
