MOSCOW, January 15 (RIA Novosti) – Azerbaijan has cut off gas supplies to Russia for technical reasons, Russia’s state-run gas monopoly Gazprom said Wednesday, and it is unknown when deliveries will resume.
A Gazprom representative told Prime business news agency that Azerbaijan, which had been supplying 3 million cubic meters of gas per day to Russia, halted deliveries on the morning of January 13.
Azerbaijan provided Russia with about 1.37 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, according to estimates by Prime, down by 31.5 percent on the year before.
