Another person injured in a recent suicide bombing attack on a bus in south Russia will be taken to Moscow for treatment, regional authorities reported Thursday.

MOSCOW, October 25 (RIA Novosti) – Another person injured in a recent suicide bombing attack on a bus in south Russia will be taken to Moscow for treatment, regional authorities reported Thursday.

The administration of the Volgograd Region and medics agreed with their colleagues from the Russian capital that a teen with a serious eye injury would be transported to Moscow.

The suspected female suicide bomber, identified as 30-year-old Naida Asiyalova, from the Russian North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, blew herself up on the bus Monday, killing six people. Some 50 people were injured.

A Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft brought four people of those injured in the attack, including a man and a woman who were in intensive care, to Moscow on Tuesday.

The funerals of two female victims, born in 1991 and 1993, were held Wednesday, the Volgograd Region’s authorities said.

Russia has suffered a long-running Islamist insurgency centered on the North Caucasus, especially in Dagestan where attacks on security forces, police and civilians occur regularly, generated by ethnic, religious and political rivalries, as well as poverty and corruption.

The insurgency was also fueled by the post-Soviet separatist wars in the neighboring republic of Chechnya.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for Monday’s attack.
