MOSCOW, September 8 (RIA Novosti) - Some 1.5 million people took part Saturday in festive events to celebrate the City Day in Moscow, the Russian capital’s police reported Sunday.
“About 1.5 million people attended the celebrations, 350,000 of them in the city center,” a police spokesman said.
“A total of 9,350 law enforcement officers, including more than 5,000 policemen, ensured order,” he said, adding that no incidents had been registered.
