Topic: Protests in Syria
MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned, as a “barbaric act,” the shelling earlier that day of the country’s embassy in Damascus.
Lebanese and Syrian diplomats had said that a mortar shell, apparently launched by Syrian rebels, landed close to the Russian Embassy building on Wednesday.
“The Russian side … once again reiterates its call to those who can influence Syrian militants to exert their influence so that such barbaric acts cease,” a representative of the Foreign Ministry’s press service told RIA Novosti.
“The embassy continues to work as normal. There are no casualties among the embassy staff,” the representative said.

- bielecAttack on Russian embassy is an attack on Russia03:12, 05/09/2013Can Russia legally step in, following an attack on its embassy? Unlike the American fabricated pretexts, this would be in line with international law.
- LocoIvanHere is a suggestion...16:54, 05/09/2013why don't YOU get off your a*s and research it, LEARN, and report back?
Ohh, that's right. It would be easier to manufacture. I'm sure it will be a Masterful creationfrom the KING of '...disinformation and confusion by creating their own alternative interpretations of issues involved.'
- LocoIvanNow, now Devushka, man-up!08:08, 06/09/2013‘I express my opinion (which I have a right to do).’
You asked a question, I responded with a METHOD that would work; research. It was not to your liking.
Whom is the ‘lazy one’, now?
There is no opinion of yours here, although it is quite peculiar that, initially, none of your knuckle dragging ‘herd mates’ have come to your aid, or attempted to answer your question, hmm.
Nor was there one (an opinion) in the ‘Mediterranean 'Ballistic Targets' Were Part of Israeli Test – Defense Ministry’ article. I answered that question, quite effectively, I might add.
Why? Because, once again, you were ‘OWNED’ by REALITY BASED facts, not by an imaginary ‘intellectual infiltration’ agent.
You feel, quite arrogantly with an up-turned nose, that when YOU ‘express…your…opinion’ that anyone who reads the article and partakes in a response, MUST respond in kind with an opinion. Maybe their opinion is in concurrence with what the article reports. Maybe they take offense at how you ‘defecate down the neck of reason’ with the truly fetid expectorant that you heave. Have you ever considered that? Of course not.
‘Another technique this primitive scum-bag uses is quoting fragments of my previous comments - out of context.’
Really, bielec, this is not worth ’ throwing a clot’ over. Moreover, your asinine comments/theories are very effective when compiling responses to you. The absurdity to which you speak, live and breathe is best exemplified by your own words. It is not to your liking and it will continue.
‘To all other readers: - You have to excuse LocoIvan. His assignment must be very frustrating. The neocon - zionist position is impossible do defend, and so he has to apply personal attacks to discredit comments that his masters consider damaging to their lying propaganda and criminal cause.’
Quite the impassionate entreaty there. Here is a news flash. Unfortunately, the likelihood of anyone else observing/commenting/caring about your ‘To all other readers:’ statement is very low because this article has been, pretty much, pushed down into obscurity. You are going to have to respond much quicker to garner any sympathy.
Perhaps, you should use it as a disclaimer in each of your ‘opinions’ going forward, since a 'strong sense of control’ is important to you, that way any potential audience will have been ‘set-up’ properly for my rebuttals, no?
‘It only proves that my comments must point in the right direction.’
LOL, Sadly it proves nothing, and in a desperate closing curtain, you make the predictable statement above. I will confirm; however, that with ‘shot gun argumentation’ you are statistically bound to be in the ‘ballpark’, a tired tried and true ploy of classical conspiracism.
Please, carry on.
- arsanlupinI see the bigots were let out of their cage ...00:15, 07/09/2013Why even someone so bilious would refer to anyone who disagrees with him as a "Zionist" shows a serious psychosis. Perhaps a Jewish girl beat him up in kindergarten ...
What's almost as absurd is to refer to a single light mortar round - and a miss at that - as "shelling". The rebels are mostly untrained civilians; apparently one of them let loose with a ranging round, saw he messed up, and quickly changed his aim point.
Iran has been a central Russian ally in the Middle East, despite considerable tensions between the two. But by renewing dialogue with the West, the new Iranian leadership has chosen another direction. The shifting terrain in the region creates new strategic, political and economic challenges for Russia.
