MOSCOW, August 30 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow is focused on preventing any use of force against Syria, a Kremlin aide affirmed Friday.
“So far Russia is working hard to avoid any scenario involving the use of force with regard to Syria,” presidential aide Yury Ushakov said in reply to a question about what Moscow could do if force is used against the Assad regime.
He also said the United States has not handed Russia any “surveillance data” suggesting that Damascus has used chemical weapons, adding that Moscow does not believe claims that is had done so.
“They [Americans] are citing the secrecy of some information,” Ushakov said.
“We don’t have that evidence, and we don’t believe it,” he said.
The Syria issue is not on the agenda of the G20 summit due to take place on September 5-6 in St. Petersburg but it is bound to be discussed on the sidelines, Ushakov said.
“Syria should be discussed, and there is no doubt that it will be,” he said.

- gmaxmd(no title)20:20, 30/08/2013Dear Russia,
It seems the entire world is against bombing and attacking Syria, EXCEPT for our president who sees this bombing of Syria not as an attack on Syria, but rather an attack on the Russian Fleet in retaliation for Putin granting asylum to my hero ed snowden. This is the worst case of a publicly elected official having a nervous breakdown I can ever recall. He is so consumed with hatred that I can only conclude that he really is a monkey with a grenade. He will attack not to punish Assad, but to punish Putin. "Slava" President Putin and all Russians. On behave of my "Speshul" president, I apologize to Vladimir Vladimovich Putin and all of Russia for my monkey. He really believes that he can snap his fingers and Putin will not only jump but jump and simultaneously ask "How High." Obama is a disgrace to the world. He will be impeached, I promise you that so give the little one some extra time, ok?

New ties between Russia and Japan would mark not only a breakthrough in their relations but also a significant shift in Northeast Asia’s political dynamic. Both are secondary players in a region overshadowed by an increasingly assertive China, which has not hesitated to push against the boundaries of its neighbors.
