Most of Russians approved of President Vladimir Putin’s criticism of education, regional development and labor ministers, a survey by the state-run pollster VTsIOM said.
Last month Putin ordered Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to reprimand Regional Development Minister Oleg Govorun, Education and Science Minister Dmitry Livanov and Labor Minister Maxim Topilin for not implementing presidential decrees.
While only 11 percent or respondents said they knew the reasons for Putin’s criticism, 84 percent approved of the president's comments.
Four percent of the surveyed said Putin was wrong and 12 percent said they had no answer.
The survey was conducted on October 6-7, among 1,600 respondents in 46 Russian residential areas.
