Three militants were killed and four servicemen injured in a clash in Dagestan’s Khasavyurt district, the republic’s Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.
The militants’ identities have yet to be established, the ministry said.
In the small hours of Tuesday one militant was killed in the same area as he opened fire on a security detail when asked to present his ID.
No security personnel were injured in the incident.
