MOSCOW, September 24 (RIA Novosti)
The lower house of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, should create a media committee this coming Friday, speaker Sergei Naryshkin said.
It will increase the number of Duma committees to 30.
The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia faction has nominated A Just Russia’s Alexei Mitrofanov as committee head and the ruling United Russia party backed the nomination.
“I believe he [Mitrofanov] will cope with his new job,” Naryshkin said.
