A string of former ministers turned presidential aides in a Kremlin administration reshuffle earlier this week were assigned new responsibilities on Wednesday.
Former Economy Minister Elvira Nabiullina will be President Vladimir Putin's economic advisor, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Former Communications and Media Minister Igor Shchegolev will be in charge of IT, while former Education Minister Andrei Fursenko will oversee research scholarship policies.
Former Natural Resources Minister Yury Trutnev will take on the State Council.
Former Health Minister Tatyana Golikova will be in charge of the social and economic development of Georgia's breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Newly appointed aide Yevgeny Shkolov will be head the Kremlin's human resources department, and Yury Ushakov will advise Putin on foreign policy.
Speaking to journalists at Putin's Novo-Ogaryovo residence outside Moscow, Peskov said "comments that the center for making decisions is moving over to the Kremlin and that former ministers will retain their influence" in their new capacity "do not reflect the real state of affairs."
Peskov himself was granted the additional position of deputy Kremlin chief of staff on Tuesday.
