Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday issued a decree instructing the Foreign Ministry to stay on the track of further cooperation with the post-soviet Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Integration processes in CIS must become one of the priorities of Russia’s foreign policy, Putin said in a decree signed May 7.
International efforts aimed at countering global threats, including proliferation o mass destruction arms, terrorism and smuggling of drugs, should be increased, Putin said.
