Russia’s migration service has proposed easing requirements for foreigners arriving in Russia for extended treatment or family visits, the service head said on Wednesday.
“Practice shows that the current legislation on temporary stay is outdated and inflexible, and does not meet the needs of the Russian economy,” Konstantin Romodanovsky said during "government hour" in the State Duma.
He also suggested that permission for temporary stay in Russia be differentiated depending on the purpose of the visit.
