Russia's interior minister said on Thursday he wants the creation of a special unit of smart, tech-savvy cops to deal with information-related crimes.
"The modernization of the technical literacy of the management of law enforcement bodies should be an effective tool for fighting crimes and the protection of our citizens," Rashid Nurgaliyev said at a ministry meeting.
Nurgaliyev's call to arms means his men will have to complete a tough course of computer technology, in effect removing all chance of any more similar incidents being caught on camera.
