Almazbek Atambayev, the new Kyrgyz prime minister, will pay a working visit to Russia on December 26-27, the Russian government's press service said.
The visit will take place on the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the press service said in a statement.
"During the talks between the two prime ministers, which will take place on December 27, relevant issues on the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation are planned to be discussed," it said.
Atambayev was appointed Kyrgyzstan's new prime minister in October, when the country elected its new parliament following a referendum that turned it from a presidential to a parliamentary republic.
Atambayev was also serving as prime minister under the previous presidency of Kurmanbek Bakiyev in 2007.
In April, the Central Asian country saw large-scale protests that overturned Bakiyev and brought the opposition led by Roza Otunbayeva to power. In June's referendum, Otunbayeva was approved as the country's president for a transitional period until 2012.
