The death toll in two West Siberian coal mine blasts has risen to 11, with 41 people injured, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry said on Sunday.
The source said 64 miners and 20 rescuers are trapped in the mine at the moment. Their condition is unknown.
A criminal case was opened into the blasts, investigators suspect a breach in safety rules to be behind the deadly accident.
