Two children and three adults died when a fire broke out in a private house in the Sverdlovsk region in Russia's Urals, a local emergencies ministry spokesman has said.
"A fire was reported at around 01:00 a.m. [20:00 GMT]," the spokesman said. The fire occurred in a private house in the Beloyarsky district, he said, adding five bodies were found at the site.
According to the spokesman, a man, two women and two children aged five and six years are among the dead.
The fire broke out as the result of a breach of fire safety regulations, the spokesman said.
Violations of fire safety rules were a reason of a Saturday's deadly accident in the Urals city of Perm, which claimed at least 109 lives. The tragedy occurred in the city's Lame Horse club during a party to celebrate the club's eighth anniversary when an indoor fireworks display started a fire that consumed most of the 500-square-meter venue.
