NOVOSIBIRSK, September 9 (RIA Novosti) - Another body was discovered on Wednesday at the site of a recent accident at a Siberian hydroelectric power plant, bringing the death toll to 74, a local official said.

"A 74th body was found today," Vladimir Anufriyev, deputy head of the Siberian department of the Investigations Committee at the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, said, adding that the body had already been identified.

A woman is still listed as missing following the August 17 accident at the Sayano-Shushenskaya station in Siberia's Khakasia Republic.

The exact cause of the accident remains unknown, and a probe is continuing. The special investigation committee is looking into possible violations of work safety regulations.

Russia's crumbling infrastructure, underfunded since the 1990s, has often been the cause of deadly industrial accidents.

State-controlled RusHydro, which owns the hydropower plant, has said repairing the damage could take up to two years, and Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko estimated the cost at over 40 billion rubles ($1.2 billion).
