MOSCOW, May 26 (RIA Novosti) - The State Duma, or lower house of Russia's parliament, passed in the third and final reading a draft law for a new graphic symbol for Russia's national currency.
With 226 votes needed, 427 deputies voted for the bill with no votes against or abstentions.
The draft law gives the Central Bank of Russia the right to choose a symbol to be used in documents for the ruble.
