ST. PETERSBURG, December 21 (RIA Novosti - Northwest, Olga Vtorova) - Enterprises located on the Neva River in Russia's second largest city of St. Petersburg could be at risk for flooding, the local emergency situations department said Wednesday.

Water rose 362 cm above the control mark Wednesday due to an ice dam that appeared in the riverbed.

"None of the enterprises have been flooded so far," the department said. "However, weather conditions in the next few days will be conducive to a further water rise in the Neva."

The enterprises on the riverbank are under the emergencies department's control. Its officers are also monitoring the situation on the Neva.
