MOSCOW, December 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will provide 21 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Belarus next year for the price of $46.68 per 1,000 cubic meters, the Belarusian prime minister said Monday.
Speaking after a session of the Russia-Belarus ministers, Sergei Sidorsky said that the fuel and energy balance for next year had been high on the agenda of talks with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Fradkov.
Russia and Belarus formed a union state after signing a treaty to the effect in 1999, and since then have been working to bring into harmony their tax, tariff and monetary systems.
