MOSCOW, July 7 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has not filed any new charges against Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a lawyer representing the imprisoned ex-chief executive of embattled oil major Yukos said Thursday.

"Nothing happened and no charges were filed," said Genrikh Padva after he and lawyers representing Platon Lebedev, ex-chairman of the executive board of Bank Menatep, had been summoned to the detention center where the two men are being held to hear new charges against their clients.

"The procedure was scheduled for 11:00, then put off until 14:00. After that we were told there would be no charges," Padva said.

Despite this, Khodorkovsky's lawyers, Anton Drel and Padva, and Yevgeny Baru, representing Lebedev, arrived at the prison. Baru is currently meeting with his client.

Vladimir Krasnov, another of Lebedev's lawyers, said earlier that his client was likely to be accused of money laundering.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General's Office did not notify Padva of the charges or say why they had been delayed.

Khodorkovsky and Lebedev were convicted of fraud, failure to comply with a court order and tax evasion on May 31, 2005 and sentenced to nine years in prison.
