MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow and Washington continue to hold a "fairly stable" channel of dialogue between foreign ministers, but the result of these discussions, including the situation on Ukraine, are not always immediately put into practice, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with Russian TV channels Rossiya and Russia Today.

"We have a fairly stable channel of dialogue with the United States at the level of my relationship with John Kerry. We frankly express and discuss everything we think on Ukraine, and other regions of the world. Sometimes it seems that we are being heard, but then practical action is not always taken,” said Lavrov.

The relations between Russia and the United States have deteriorated amid Ukrainian crisis, as Washington kept blaming Moscow for meddling in Ukraine’s internal affairs.

Since the beginning of the military conflict, Kiev and the West have been accusing Russia of sending troops and weapons to independence supporters in Ukraine’s southeastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. However, the US and their partners have never supported their accusations with any evidence.

Over the past few months, the US has introduced several rounds of economic sanctions against Russia, and persuaded its allies to add Russian companies and individuals to their own blacklists.

Moscow has repeatedly denied any involvement in the Ukrainian conflict, and in contrary, played a vital role in the de-escalation of the crisis. Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a peace plan to resolve the conflict two days before Kiev and the eastern regions of Ukraine reached a ceasefire agreement on September 5 in Minsk.
