KIEV, September 16 (RIA Novosti) - The talks on the Donbas situation regulation in trilateral format between Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) may take place in the nearest future, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.

"The question [of the next round of talks] is being discussed now. I think it will take place in the nearest future. The most important thing is for the next round to bear results," Klimkin said Monday in ICTV channel's program "The Freedom of Speech."

Klimkin ruled out any possibility of direct talks between the foreign ministry and the militia leaders.

"That is absolutely out of the question, as is the idea of direct or mediated confession," he said.

On September 5, the Contact Group on Ukraine, comprising of the representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), held a meeting in Minsk, which resulted in a ceasefire agreement between Kiev and independence supporters in eastern Ukraine.

An armed confrontation in eastern Ukraine began in mid-April, when Kiev launched a military operation against independence supporters, who refused to acknowledge the new government instated after the February 22 coup.
