The Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation implored the Reporters Without Borders, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to assist in the search for the missing photographer Andrei Stenin, and also to demand that Ukrainian authorities respect the rights of journalists.

All contact with Stenin who was operating in Donetsk, Slovyansk and other cities in the eastern part of Ukraine has been lost since August 5. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday that Russia is making all possible efforts in coordination with corresponding agencies to secure Stenin’s safe return.

A seasoned photojournalist, Andrei Stenin works for the International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya. Here are the pictures taken by him in hot spots all over the world.
