The 25th edition of Moscow’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has drawn to a close. Held at Moscow's Manezh exhibition hall, it featured major trends of the spring/summer 2013 season, in women’s and men’s fashion alike. The Week traditionally showcases the latest in Russian and foreign designers’ output. Among this year’s foreign guests was the British designer Giles Deacon, who impressed the audience with his collection of hats shaped to resemble lampshades.

Ozwald Boateng, a counterpart and fellow countryman of Deacon’s, presented his trademark classic men’s suits along with some more casual models.

In Moscow, Boateng also unveiled his newest women’s collection, featuring fitted shirts and tuxedos.

Along with its regular participants, the latest Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week showcased work by young designers. The models who presented Georgian designer Goga Nikabadze’s debut collection “A Casual Bouquet” marched along the catwalk with their clothes and heads ornamented with flowers.

Another young designer, Maria Golubeva, made her debut with a collection of gowns sewn from a nude-colored fabric and enlivened each with a bright highlight. She says that in all of her designs, she seeks to accentuate a woman’s natural beauty.
