MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian center for Syrian reconciliation at the Hmeymim airbase registered a total of two violations of the ceasefire regime in Syria in the last 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.
"The cessation of hostilities in Syria has been respected in most of Syrian provinces. However, a total of two violations of the ceasefire regime have been registered in Damascus province," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
The Russia-US brokered ceasefire regime in Syria came into force on February 27. Al-Nusra Front and Daesh terrorist groups, which are outlawed in Russia, are not part of the ceasefire deal.
"Within the last 24 hours, truce agreements have been reached with representatives of two settlements in Homs and Aleppo provinces, bringing the total number of settlements that have joined ceasefire to 172," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
Ceasefire talks have continued with several opposition field commanders in Aleppo, Quneitra and Daraa provinces, according to the statement.
