A new exhibition has opened in the central Russian town of Ivanovo, which gives visitors a chance to reminisce about joys of the Soviet era amid red flags and portraits of Vladimir Lenin.
The Nostalgia for a Bright Future exhibition opened in the Museum of Landscape at the Plessky state architectural and art museum.
Soviet-era relics, including Pioneer memorabilia and records from the Perestroika period, are on display in five exhibition halls. Visitors can even listen to Lenin giving his speech about the revolution through an old telephone receiver.
A spokeswoman for the museum said the exhibition displays only the positive aspects of the Soviet era and aims to arouse a feeling of nostalgia.
"Elderly people have been so touched by the atmosphere of the exhibition that they were in tears," she said.
