MOSCOW, January 13 (RIA Novosti) – A man suspected of killing and dismembering his girlfriend has been detained by authorities in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek police told RIA Novosti on Monday.
“Multiple body parts of a young woman were found in a dumpster on Panfilova Street over the weekend by passers-by who called the police,” a police media spokesperson said.
According to preliminary information, the suspect, who police said was a drug addict, killed his 24-year-old girlfriend during an argument and proceeded to dismember her body into 28 pieces.
He allegedly tossed her head into the basement before stashing the remaining body parts in the dumpster.
Police noted that pieces of fried meat were found in the suspect’s apartment, and said that samples have been sent for expert analysis to determine whether he had also eaten parts of the victim.
